Laura Wellem is an award winning, self-taught artist who creates eco-friendly, mixed media canvas and furniture. Her "Beneath the Trees" series is inspired by her love of nature & "Femmes" honors the beauty & diversity of women. In an effort to help preserve Mother Earth Laura uses non-toxic acrylic paints, magazine collage' and an eclectic array objects initially intended for other projects. Her designs reflect her spirituality, sensuality, global views & humor. She paints by commission, participates in arts festivals & volunteers for Chairish the Future Gala & Auction, benefiting the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta.
