Jenna Chavalia is an art teacher by day and an artist by night. Instead of watching television, she creates her entertainment through collages, jewelry or greeting cards. I am mostly a self taught painter although I had some drawing classes in college and high school and I’ve been doing my art full-time for about 10 years. I strive to create works that are positive and uplifting and want folks to feel good about their lives when they look at it. Folk and funk I like to say. Music, the South, and kid’s themes are often seen. I work mostly in acrylic paint but do some mixed media and use as much recycled and salvaged materials as I can along with an occasional canvas. Vickie Martin

Collage is often added, using anything she finds around the house including dress patterns, junk mail, maps, old books or stamps.
